Flying Radar: Newest radar system for drones tested in Russia

The weight of the development is only 750 grams

Russian engineers have successfully tested the newest radar system for monitoring territories using drones. This was reported by the Foundation for Supporting Projects of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).

The new product weighs less than 750 g and is characterized by its compact size. With its help, it is possible to assess the intensity of river floods and forest fires from the air, as well as conduct surveys for cartography and monitor agricultural work.

The complex includes a Vector-X synthetic aperture radar. Experts have worked out the integration of radar equipment with UAS, conducted radar surveys of the territory near Innopolis in Tatarstan, and checked the stability of all onboard systems.

The complex provides a resolution of up to 30 cm, in which the system distinguishes two objects located at a distance of at least 30 cm from each other.

Earlier www1.ru reported that thermoplastic materials will appear in the PD-14, PD-8 and PD-35 engines.
