Russian automaker XCite has announced a new promotion to help sell off the thousands of X-Cross 8 crossovers in stock. As part of the offer, buyers will receive a certificate for four scheduled technical maintenances (ТО-0, ТО-1, ТО-2, ТО-3) for just 1 ruble. This will allow owners not to worry about the costs of service and materials for 30,000 kilometers or three years.
X-Cross 8 is a seven-seater crossover equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 hp and a 7-speed robotic transmission. The car is available with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, active safety systems, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and an audio system with 6 or 8 speakers.
Service maintenance will be carried out through the LADA dealer network. In March 2025, XCite production was suspended due to problems with the supply of components from Chery, which led to the accumulation of 7-10 thousand unsold cars. In the first quarter of 2025, only 1302 cars were sold, forcing dealers to start a sale with discounts of up to 500,000 rubles. Currently, discounts reach 750,000 rubles.
Against the backdrop of these events, AvtoVAZ reported record sales of XCite cars in June 2025, when more than 1.6 thousand units were sold. This was the highest figure since the brand entered the Russian market in 2024, with total sales of 9,500 cars.
