The authors noted that Russia's industry is currently on track to significantly expand the production of main battle tanks, aiming to reach a significant production volume of 1,000 new tanks by mid-2028, and 3,000 tanks by mid-2035.

According to the publication, Russia produced 280-300 tanks in 2024, which is more than three times the figures for 2022.

The publication states that Russia may also resume production of T-80 tanks, which are likely to surpass the most modern variations of the T-90 "Proryv" and will have a number of features similar to the T-14 "Armata" tanks.
