Liotech has received an official license from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to manufacture batteries for aviation equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles. This decision opens up new opportunities for the domestic market, where imported products still prevail.
According to industry experts, more than 98% of batteries for aviation and UAVs in Russia are supplied from abroad. Liotech intends to change this situation by offering localized solutions adapted to Russian climatic conditions and technical requirements. Production will be deployed at the company's site in the Leningrad Region, where preparatory work is already underway.
The license is confirmation that our production facilities, engineering base, and process localization meet high industry standards. For us, this is an important step towards closing the entire technological cycle within the country — from development to recycling of batteries.
To implement the project, the company is actively investing in scientific research, collaborating with leading universities in the country. In particular, a specialized department has already been opened at the St. Petersburg Technological Institute, which is engaged in the development of battery technologies.
