During a working visit, representatives of leading Russian automakers — "KAMAZ" and "AvtoVAZ" — together with a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation visited several industrial enterprises in the Zaporozhye region. The main purpose of the trip was to analyze production capacities and identify opportunities for localizing the production of auto components.
Specialists inspected key factories in the region, including the Melitopol Engine Plant, where a feasibility study was conducted. Also in focus were the "Turbokom", MDC "Hydrosila", "Melt", "Ecopromlit" and MZATZ enterprises. Following the inspection, "KAMAZ" has already sent technical specifications for the production of components that can be integrated into the company's production chain.
"AvtoVAZ" also expressed interest in cooperation and will present its proposals in the near future. This may mean an increase in the production of spare parts for the Russian automotive industry using the capacities of Zaporozhye enterprises.
