Sitronics Electro, part of Sitronics Group, proposes introducing direct subsidies for electric vehicle owners in Russia, according to the company's CEO, Andrey Gurlenov.
We propose launching direct subsidies for electric vehicle buyers, like in China or California, with "live" money. I hope we return to the car sales growth we had, at least 40%, like a year earlier. I believe in this because we have more and more Evolute cars on the road, people have faith in the electric "Moskvich", and we have high expectations for "Atom".
Gurlenov emphasized the importance of direct subsidies as the main incentive but noted that it is necessary to maintain all current benefits: free travel on toll roads for Russian electric vehicles, zero transport tax, and free parking.
He also proposed additional measures to support demand. In particular, the CEO suggested making Bagration Avenue in Moscow free for electric vehicles. According to him, such steps could significantly increase sales of environmentally friendly transport.
