The Project 11356 warship is equipped with over 20 systems of Indian production

The transfer of the Project 11356 frigate Tamal to the Indian Navy took place at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC). The project was developed by specialists from the Northern Design Bureau of USC.

The new ship was named Tamal, which translates from Sanskrit as "Sword." The acceptance certificate was signed by the ship's commander and a representative of JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation). Andrey Puchkov, General Director of USC, noted that Tamal successfully completed acceptance trials with the participation of an Indian commission.

We can confidently say that this is a multifunctional and modern ship with high combat capabilities to counter surface, underwater, ground, and air targets.

The ship is equipped with a reliable air defense system, the basis of which is the Shtil-1 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) with vertical launch missiles, developed and manufactured by the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation.

The artillery armament consists of 30 mm and 100 mm guns, which, together with the electronic warfare system, can repel attacks from drones and unmanned boats.
