Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) has completed the construction in Venezuela of the first stage of a plant for the production of 7.62 mm cartridges for Kalashnikov assault rifles.
The enterprise will produce up to 70 million cartridges per year and increase the country's defense potential.
Tens of thousands of cartridges can be produced on each production line in one work shift. The conducted test program confirmed the compliance with the stated characteristics and the quality of the products.
The first stage of the plant is equipped with four modern lines. Two are designed for assembling ammunition with steel-core bullets, and two more are for blank cartridges and tracer bullets.
