The Russian Armed Forces have begun using a laser air defense (AD) system to combat drones.
The newest anti-drone system allows burning out drone cameras and eliminating them before they approach the target. Strike drones can be shot down at a distance of 2-3 km, and the range of destruction of reconnaissance aircraft is 6 km.
The complex with a 35-kilowatt laser surpasses the American C-UAS DE system with a 26-kW emitter. According to him, the cost of deploying laser air defense is currently very high, but the system is cheaper to operate than missile systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that details have emerged about the new Russian ballistic missile.
