The missile cruiser "Varyag" (Third ship of Project 1164 "Atlant") of the Pacific Fleet launched a "Vulcan" anti-ship missile at a mock target in the Sea of Japan. This was reported by the fleet's press service.

Ships of the Primorsky Flotilla of mixed forces of the Pacific Fleet and the Bastion coastal defense missile system launched a missile strike on a complex target position in the Sea of Japan, simulating ships of a mock enemy.

Two strike groups on missile boats also participated in the exercises, attacking targets with 4 Moskit cruise missiles.

The fleet's press service emphasized that the area where the firing took place was closed to civilian navigation and aviation flights.
