Новый завод по производству троллейбусов появится в Уфе в 2026 году

UTTZ and MAZ joint venture plans to build at an accelerated pace

The construction of a joint venture for the production of trolleybuses by the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant (UTTZ) and MAZ is planned to begin in 2026. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkiria, Rustam Muratov, at the XII Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus.

According to him, project documentation is currently being prepared. Muratov noted that construction will be carried out at an accelerated pace, comparable to the construction of the "Amkador" plant, which was built in nine months. If work starts in the spring, the enterprise will be able to build in about a year.

The site for the new production will be the "Alga" special economic zone. The zone has been expanded to accommodate the enterprise. The necessary documentation and applications have already been submitted to the federal level.

Negotiations were held with the management of the joint venture during the forum. Muratov emphasized that the company's modern trolleybuses occupy about 35% of the Russian market.

Work is underway to provide staffing - agreements have been signed with educational institutions to train specialists. In addition, cooperation is being established with suppliers of components, including seats, springs and shock absorbers.

UTTZ and MAZ have been cooperating since the beginning of 2023. Joint assembly of trolleybuses at the UTTZ site has already made it possible to produce over 700 units of equipment.
