The Russian operational-tactical missile system (OTRK) "Iskander-M", which can carry ballistic and cruise missiles, has been called a "headache" for the enemy.
Its advanced capabilities, including maneuverability, high speed and the ability to evade radar, have made the "Iskander" an important element of the Russian strategy on the battlefield.
The missile reaches speeds of up to seven Mach numbers and flies to the target along a quasi-ballistic trajectory with evasive maneuvers, making it difficult to intercept.
Also, the missiles of the "Iskander-M" complex are equipped with traps that are triggered at the final stage of the flight. They generate false signals to deceive anti-aircraft systems.
Also, "Iskander" is a mobile platform. Missile guidance and launch take a few seconds, so the position of the complex is difficult to detect before the missile launch.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the assembly of MS-21 aircraft may be sent to Latin America.
