About 1 GW of Mining Power in Russia Operates "In the Shadows"

Creating a digital infrastructure will help legalize the market

In Russia, a significant amount of "shadow" mining activity still persists — about 1 GW of capacity still operates outside the legal framework. However, in the coming years, the situation will begin to change, said Vasily Girya, General Director of the GIS mining data center operator, at the SPIEF-2025.
