Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" has put on hold the development of the E-Neva electric vehicle project. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
We have now put it on hold, I mean the priority of those main tasks that Almaz-Antey is engaged in today, so it is on hold.
The team that worked on the Obukhov Plant project to develop the E-Neva electric vehicle has moved to a new enterprise that is organizing the production of domestic BAZ civilian trucks in the Shushary industrial zone of the St. Petersburg automotive cluster, where Scania and MAN trucks were previously produced.
It was planned that mass production of the E-Neva electric vehicle would begin in 2026.
The state-owned JSC "Concern of Aerospace Defense "Almaz-Antey" is one of the largest enterprises in the military-industrial complex, producing air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 "Prometheus" anti-aircraft missile system.
