The head of the company "AvtoVAZ," Maxim Sokolov, reported that the level of localization of the new Lada Azimut crossover, which was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, exceeds 90%. Most of the components for the car will be produced in Russia.
All components and the level of localization of our cars, even the one that was presented today at the SPIEF site — a new car, stuffed with various electronic component base and technically modern, will in any case be higher than 90%.
According to him, the cost of the new car will be affordable and lower than that of foreign counterparts. In the initial configuration, Lada Azimut will be equipped with modernized engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters, with a capacity of 120 and 132 horsepower, respectively, as well as a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. In the future, it is planned to release a turbocharged version with a capacity of 150 hp and a classic automatic transmission.
