The Russian military has changed the tactics of using the hypersonic air-based missile system Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal". It is used jointly with the operational-tactical missile system "Iskander-M".
Reactive versions of the "Geran-3" kamikaze drones are used as a distraction for air defense systems.
According to footage on social networks, Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles ("Product 504AP") were also used with the characteristic sound of firing L-504 dipole traps.
The "Kinzhal" missiles are of greatest interest in this combination. The exact characteristics of the system have not yet been published in open sources. However, it is known that the range of the complex is about 2 thousand km, and the maximum missile speed is up to 10 times the speed of sound.
At the time of launch from the MiG-31 fighter, the missile already has a flight altitude of about 20 km and a speed of at least 1500 km/h. Due to these conditions, the "Kinzhal" ammunition receives a record range and flight speed.
