The Nanotechnology Center for Composites (NCC, part of the Rusnano Group) has manufactured and delivered 10,000 sprinkler blocks for evaporative cooling towers of the Rostov NPP. Prior to this, parts of technical cooling systems were sent to the Belarusian, Novovoronezh, and Leningrad NPPs.
A sprinkler for evaporative cooling towers is an element that increases the contact area between water and air to improve cooling efficiency. It helps to reduce the temperature of the water returned to the system.
The VC 25 sprinkler with a volume of 2800 cubic meters and a lattice structure is highly efficient and has a low tendency to clog and overgrow.
NCC is the largest manufacturer of composite elements for technical water supply systems for NPPs. Rosatom has included the company in the list of approved suppliers.
