The number of missiles for the Pantsir-SMD-E anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) has increased fourfold. This was stated by Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec.
According to him, the "SMD-E" model differs from the previous model in that it has mini-missiles installed, and the ammunition load has increased fourfold.
Today, instead of 12 missiles, there are 48. This is very important in order to provide protection against drones, because 12 missiles are sometimes not enough if there is a mass raid. But 48, of course, is much better, and our military is very happy about this.
A feature of the latest installation is remote control, with one operator handling the control. It can be located, in particular, in a bunker, at a distance of up to 500 m, control is carried out via fiber optics.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of Tapir landing ships won the right to spend 2 billion rubles on furniture.
