The Center for Traffic Management (TsODD) of Moscow has updated its fleet. The authorities have purchased 48 new Great Wall Poer pickups. The vehicles will be used for roadside assistance. Previously, the TsODD used Volkswagen Amarok pickups for ten years.
Since 2024, the Great Wall Poer has become the best-selling pickup in Russia. In 2024, 4,722 units of this model were sold, allowing it to surpass the traditional segment leader, the UAZ "Pickup," which sold 4,142 vehicles.
In terms of size, the Poer surpasses competitors from Japan, such as the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200, especially in width — 1934 mm versus a maximum of 1880 mm for Japanese models.
In 2025, sales of the updated version of the Great Wall Poer began, available in Elite and Premium trim levels. The base version is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 218 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel-drive system. The more expensive Premium version has a 2.4-liter diesel engine (184 horsepower) with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
