Analysts at "Opening Auto" shared pickup sales statistics in Russia for 2023. In total, 8.4 thousand new pickups were sold in the first 7 months of this year – more than in the entire previous year. At the same time, the market leader has changed for the first time in a long time.
While the UAZ pickup has been the most popular model since 2015, it is now the Great Wall Poer. In July, this Chinese model sold 343 units, while only 266 UAZ Pickups were sold.
Overall, the top 10 segment looks like this:
- Great Wall Poer – 343 units;
- UAZ «Pickup» - 266 units;
- Mitsubishi L200 – 176 units;
- JAC T6 – 173 units;
- Dodge Ram – 165 units;
- Toyota Hilux – 138 units;
- DFM Rich – 45 units;
- Changan Hunter Plus – 36 units;
- Toyota Tundra/Tacoma – 21 units;
- JAC T8 Pro (12 units).
The cost of the Great Wall Poer starts at 3.449 million rubles. This is the price for the Comfort configuration with a 150-horsepower engine, manual transmission, and all-wheel drive. The top version, Premium, for 3.749 million rubles, differs only in the presence of an 8-speed "automatic" in terms of units.
