The modernization of the Tu-160 strategic missile carrier (NATO codename: Blackjack) will increase the efficiency of the Russian aircraft. NATO forces will not be able to resist the updated machine, writes the American publication The National Interest (TNI).

In February 2024, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk suggested that the modernized Tu-160M missile carrier may surpass the basic modification in all respects. The expert noted that the new aircraft's armament allows it to eliminate any ground target.
According to him, the task of the Tu-160 is to strike targets at a distance of several thousand kilometers without entering the enemy's air defense zone.
