The Russian lightweight multi-purpose guided missile with extended range "Product-305UD" allows army aviation pilots to engage targets at a distance of over 25 km. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Flight Log of a Military Pilot."
The "Product 305" missile is one of the most successful universal types of guided weapons for army aviation. The munition combines flexibility of use and sniper accuracy, as well as a powerful warhead.
These characteristics allow it to destroy a wide range of targets - armored vehicles, various structures, and long-term firing points. One of the important features of the missile is its high degree of protection against interference and electronic warfare. Before the upgrade, the range of the munition was limited to 14.5 km.
The missile is designed for use with Mi-28NM and Ka-52M attack helicopters. "Product-305" is capable of reaching speeds of up to 230 m/s, the missile is equipped with an optical thermal imaging homing head and a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 25 kg.
