Novotroitsk Metallurgical Plant "Ural Steel" has launched the production of new wear-resistant steel HardUS 400. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The new material is characterized by increased strength, hardness in the range of 360-430 HB and high resistance to abrasion. This makes it ideal for use in heavy mining equipment.
HardUS 400 steel is produced in the form of sheet metal with a thickness of 16 to 50 mm, a width of 1500-2000 mm and a length of up to 12 meters. It is designed for the manufacture of bodies of quarry dump trucks, excavator buckets and other parts subject to high loads. The use of the new steel will significantly increase the service life of equipment and reduce downtime for repairs.
Along with HardUS 400, the company offers the WeldUS 690 grade, which combines high strength (yield strength from 690 MPa) and good weldability. Both developments were created taking into account the company's many years of experience and the capabilities of its production facilities.
