Sales of cars under the Xcite brand — renamed Chery Tiggo models — continue to remain low. Even significant discounts, reaching up to 750 thousand rubles, are not helping.
Since the start of assembly in May 2024 at the factory in St. Petersburg, almost 20 thousand cars have been produced. Of these, only 8 thousand cars have been sold. The most successful months were September and October 2024, when sales exceeded 1000 cars per month. Currently, the sales rate does not exceed 500 units.
Dealers offer discounts from 350 to 450 thousand rubles and an additional discount of 300 thousand rubles when trading in an old car or applying for a loan. If the current sales rate does not change, the car stock will last for the entire year of 2025 and even into 2026. The company's press service confirmed that the project is not being closed. It is likely that a new partner is being sought to assemble new models.
