Sales of cars under the Xcite brand — renamed Chery Tiggo, continue to remain low. Even significant discounts, which reach up to 750 thousand rubles, do not help.
Since the start of assembly in May 2024 at the factory in St. Petersburg, almost 20 thousand cars have been produced. Of these, only 8 thousand cars were sold. The most successful months were September and October 2024. Then sales exceeded 1000 cars per month. Currently, the sales rate does not exceed 500 units.
Dealers offer discounts from 350 to 450 thousand rubles and an additional discount of 300 thousand rubles when trading in an old car or applying for a loan. If the current sales rate does not change, the car stock will last for the entire 2025 and even 2026. The company's press service confirmed that the project is not being closed. A new partner is likely being sought to assemble new models.
