The number of crimes related to illegal access to computer information in 2024 has almost tripled compared to the previous year — from 36 thousand to more than 104 thousand cases. This was stated in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
They noted that about 90% of all these violations are related to hacking accounts on the "Gosuslugi" portal. Most of the crimes are related to fraudulent schemes aimed at gaining access to user accounts and taking out loans from microfinance organizations in their name.
At the same time, only a small part of the crimes were solved — about more than 2 thousand cases.
As explained by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, attackers most often use the password recovery function on "Gosuslugi", and also log in through third-party partner sites, using one session.
