"Avito" has launched an online car booking service directly from taxi fleets. The new product is already operating in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The service helps drivers find cars faster, and taxi fleets to more effectively select personnel and reduce costs.
With the service, the driver can book a car, confirm the rental conditions and pick up the car at the appointed time.
The service is available through a mobile application for iOS and Android devices, as well as through a web version. Connecting taxi fleets requires the presence of an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning). Ads with the "Online Booking" mark can be found in the "Cars for Taxi" section.
The draft law on the localization of taxis may be postponed until the spring of 2026. The State Duma is considering the possibility of postponing the deadlines for adopting the document. This is due to the fact that the bill has caused a lot of controversy. It has now passed the first reading, but the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and representatives of taxi fleets continue to oppose it.
