The new state armament program in the Russian Federation may provide for the construction of up to 10 large landing ships (BDK) of the modernized Project 11711M for the Russian Navy (VMF). This was announced to journalists by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev.
As part of the next armament program, we are planning to build up to 10 ships of this Project 11711.
According to him, everything will be finally clear after the approval of this state program.
Two improved Project 11711M BDKs, "Vladimir Andreev" and "Vasily Trushin," will have increased landing capacity and displacement.
Two other ships of Project 11711, "Petr Morgunov" and "Ivan Gren," are currently serving in the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy.
The BDKs will be armed with one twin AK-630M-2 and two 30-mm six-barreled AK-630 artillery mounts. A Ka-29 transport-combat helicopter or a Ka-27 search and rescue helicopter is based on the deck.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of MC-21 and SJ-100 suffered a net loss of 24.1 billion rubles last year.
