The leading Russian enterprise in the production of optical, optoelectronic, opto-digital, and opto-mechanical devices, JSC "LOMO" (Leningrad Optical-Mechanical Association named after V. I. Lenin, part of the "Kalashnikov" concern), has supplied the MSK-3-1 microscope to the customer.

The MSK-3-1 is used for ballistic (examination of weapons and ammunition) and trace evidence examinations (examination of traces left on various surfaces) in forensic laboratories.

The microscope is designed for observing two compared objects in reflected light, which are simultaneously or separately visible in the field of view of the binocular head eyepieces.

The images of objects observed through the microscope can be transmitted to a video camera using adapters for subsequent computer analysis.

MSK-3-1 Specifications:

  • Magnification during visual observation — 5-74x
  • Objective working distance — 115 mm
  • Largest diameter of the object area under consideration — 33 mm
  • Power supply — 220 V 50 Hz network

In March, www1.ru wrote that JSC "LOMO" won two auctions for the supply of technical microscopes for state needs.
