The production of Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel SUVs, which was restarted three days ago at the AvtoVAZ plant, operated in normal mode for only three days and stopped again. This was reported by the insider Telegram channel "AvtoPotok".
According to a source at the plant, unscheduled downtime has begun on the Lada Niva assembly line in Togliatti. From 12:00 on May 29, the production of SUVs was completely stopped, and the downtime may last several hours.
The reasons for the shutdown were not disclosed to the workers, but it is likely that a similar failure is expected on May 30.
The day before, on May 28, the media reported that the production of Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel SUVs, which was restarted at the beginning of the week,continued as normal - interruptions in the supply of parts from AvtoVAZ partners have been eliminated.
