All the necessary funds have been allocated for the production of the LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft, and the project needs to be launched on schedule. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov during a speech at a meeting in the State Duma.
As for "Baikal", the necessary resources for production and development support are allocated. As far as I know, the aircraft should be put into operation on schedule. We are not saving money here.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Yuri Trutnev stated that the situation with the "Baikal" aircraft projectis at a dead end, and production is not expected. According to him, the developers made a mistake in calculating the lifting force of the wing and the length of the runway, and the aircraft will require a runway twice as long as originally expected.
At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that the effectiveness of the improvements to the "Baikal" light aircraft has been confirmed, so the development work on it will continue.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia in aviation will be able to do with its own developments. We didn't copy, we made it better.
