The Serbian Armed Forces will adopt Lazar 3М 8x8 armored personnel carriers equipped with Russian BM-30-D Spitsa combat modules. Footage of the combat vehicles has surfaced on social media.
This batch of APCs will soon be adopted by units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Each module also has a modern sight with television and thermal imaging channels, as well as a laser rangefinder-designator. A lighter version of the module without the AG-30 grenade launcher is also installed on the domestic K4386 Typhoon-VDV (4x4) armored vehicle.
The 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon is capable of confidently penetrating the side armor plates of M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley, CV90, and 1A3 Marder IFVs with the use of 3UBR8 Kerner armor-piercing discarding sabot projectiles at a distance of up to 1500 m, operating from camouflaged positions and covering the weakly protected hull behind a "screen" of terrain.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a Soyuz-2.1b rocket with a classified apparatus was launched in the interests of the Ministry of Defense.
