An artificial intelligence system has been implemented in the latest fifth-generation Su-57 multirole stealth fighter. In fact, it is the aircraft's electronic co-pilot, according to a representative of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, the AI assistant is designed to support pilots in combat scenarios and during routine flights.
The system was created to give the pilot hints in tactical moments and in specific situations.
Representatives of the United Aircraft Corporation clarified that UAC had planned to introduce an "electronic co-pilot system" into the Su-57 from the early days of the fifth-generation aircraft program.
The system helps the pilot by taking over some of the tasks during routine flights, such as navigating along route points and controlling flight systems.
AI will allow the pilot to focus on more important tasks during combat, such as the use of weapons. However, the final decision on the use of weapons remains with the pilot.
The Su-57 is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. It has a supersonic cruising speed, radio-absorbing coating, internal weapons, as well as the latest complex of onboard equipment.
