The Ural Automobile Plant has opened a new facility for assembling heavy-duty trucks, the company's press service reported.
Pavel Yakovlev, General Director of the automobile plant, noted that the new facility will employ the latest global technologies. The range of trucks includes models with a gross weight from 12 to 48 tons, each requiring different manufacturing technologies.
This is a complex with an area of over 40,000 square meters with several workshops and modern equipment. Construction took less than two years — a real labor feat!
The complex is equipped with 9 robotic welding systems and a robotic cabin painting system. Innovations include 9 robotic welding systems, a cabin painting system, AGV trolleys, and Russia's only robotic mezzanine warehouse.
The launch of the new complex will allow the company to increase vehicle production by more than 5,500 units per year.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that UAZ will increase the production speed of "Pickup", "Profi" and Sollers.
