Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems protect Russian military from airborne threats. The combat vehicle crew explained their work.
According to the soldiers, the complex mainly does not operate alone — several different modifications of this machine are used, each with its own goals and objectives.
Together, they create a reliable air defense system. First of all, the Buks cover advanced units, but they also do not forget about the rear — industrial facilities and civilian infrastructure.
Radar patrol works constantly, HIMARS, Atacms, and Storm Shadow missiles will not slip past them. As soon as the complex notices them, it immediately prepares for interception and goes into launch readiness for its own missiles.
Its range is impressive — 70 kilometers. At the same time, the Buk-M3 is capable of simultaneously working with 36 targets.
