Signature reduction systems for armored vehicles based on the special material "Nakidka," which are used to equip tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and other equipment, significantly reduce the probability of detection. This was stated by the Rostec State Corporation.
According to the Steel Research Institute, the use of "Nakidka" allows reducing the probability of detection of a combat vehicle by 30% using night vision devices or optics.
The probability of detection and capture by infrared reconnaissance devices and IR homing heads is reduced by a factor of two or three.
"Nakidka" is a synthetic material that is attached to equipment in the form of covers or coatings. Camouflage has become a mandatory element of equipping Russian armored vehicles. The material is made in camouflage colors, which further reduce the visibility of equipment in the visible optical range.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the newest system from the "Pantsir SMD-E" proved useful for intercepting enemy UAVs.
