The High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) has begun the stage of state tests of the new BT-3F floating armored personnel carrier, created on the basis of the BMP-3.
The equipment must confirm the specified tactical and technical characteristics on land and in water in various climatic zones, as well as pass firing tests from a stationary position, on the move, and afloat.
BT-3F is designed to transport units of the ground forces and units of the marine infantry of the coastal troops of the Navy, fire support for dismounted troops in all conditions of their combat use.
BT-3F can transport 12 paratroopers in full gear and is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module with an automatic grenade launcher and a machine gun. The armored personnel carrier is also equipped with a towing device for towing trailers.
The seats are equipped with seat belts, providing reliable fixation of the crew and landing party. In addition, the machine is equipped with an aggregate compressor air conditioner, which is important in hot tropical climates.
