Specialists from SKB-1 (part of the Kinisepp Machinery Plant military-industrial holding, KMZ) have developed the Kaiman utility landing craft project. This was reported by the holding's press service.
A landing craft is a self-propelled boat with a bow ramp (folding part). The Project 104 vessel combines high speed, maneuverability, and functionality, making it ideal for transporting tourists, equipment, and organizing excursions.
Thanks to its small size and draft, the Kaiman can enter shallow water areas and hard-to-reach places and expands.
Characteristics of the Project 104 landing craft:
- Speed — up to 90 km/h
- Hull material — aluminum
- Range — up to 8 hours
- Passenger capacity — 12 people
The Kaiman is a find for active tourism enthusiasts. The vessel is also suitable for expeditions and logistics.
