The Ministry of Finance of Russia has increased the forecast for the collection of funds received from traffic offenders eightfold. In the current financial year, the figure may amount to 52.8 billion rubles against the initially projected 6.4 billion rubles.
Money from fines for traffic violations goes entirely to the federal budget only if this fine was issued by an official of a government body and a federal judge.
The main part goes to the regional budgets of the subject where the corresponding violation was detected, Klimanov explained. Regions use fines collection for the installation of new cameras and the development of road infrastructure.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the State Duma adopted a law on tightening requirements for taxi cars.
