India plans to buy additional S-400 Triumf long-range anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) from Russia after their effective use in the armed conflict.
"After the successful use of the S-400 during Operation Sindhur, India officially requested additional systems from Russia.
The channel's sources added that they expect a positive decision on their application in the near future. Previously, India ordered and received five regimental sets of S-400 from Russia. They are deployed in such a way as to cover air borders with China and Pakistan.
The S-400 Triumf SAM system is designed to destroy aircraft, ballistic and cruise missiles, including medium-range missiles, and can also be used against ground targets. The system's range is up to 400 km, and it is capable of destroying targets at an altitude of up to 30 km.
