The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has officially transferred the research vessel (NIS) "Professor Gagarinsky", built in 1987, to the joint Russian-Vietnamese Tropical Research and Technology Center. The agreements on the transfer were signed in January 2025.
The name of Professor Gagarinsky will be preserved. In a few days, the vessel will set sail and arrive at the Vietnamese port of Haiphong.
