Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center to be Created in the Orenburg Region: Three Major Residents to Participate in Technology Development

The emergence of three major residents is planned as part of the creation of a scientific and production center for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Orenburg region. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Energy of the region, Alexey Sharygin.

We are betting on three major participants, three residents. The center's infrastructure includes three sections: a collective use center, a laboratory and research complex, and an educational and competition infrastructure. We will move in this direction.

According to him, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation highly appreciated the concept of the scientific and production center of UAS in the Orenburg region. In 2024, the region won the selection for receiving a subsidy for equipping the center. Funding for 2025 will amount to 426 million rubles.

The center will specialize in the development and production of internal combustion engines, products made of composite materials, as well as flight controllers and regulators designed for unmanned aircraft systems.
