Testing of the new Russian electric car "Atom" has begun on the streets of Moscow. The domestic electric cars are planned to be produced at the "Moskvich" plant. The first photos of the pre-production prototype have surfaced online.
Both bumpers, fenders on both sides, sills and the edge of the hood of the electric car are hidden by a dense film. But the design of the car is completely identical to those prototypes that the "Atom" development team showed officially.
All the main characteristics of the future serial electric car "Atom" are already known. The model will be equipped with a body made of five different metals and a patented design of power sills. Under the hood, the "Atom" will have a 204-horsepower electric motor with a torque of up to 294 Nm. A 77-kilowatt-hour battery will provide a range of up to 500 kilometers.
The "Atom" will receive its own operating system "Atom OS", a digital marketplace and a unique Atom ID identifier. The main control will be the steering wheel with a touch screen, a built-in voice assistant and augmented reality projections on the windshield.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Atom" electric car in support of the "Icebreaker of Knowledge" project drove through the streets of Moscow.
