More than 85 thousand new processors were brought to Russia by Baikal Electronics

The manufacturer has successfully overcome sanctions and started working on four projects under the Baikal brand

Domestic chip manufacturer Baikal (Baikal Electronics) has imported 85 thousand processors into Russia, which is a significant achievement since the start of production. Despite the difficulties caused by sanctions, the company continues to develop.

CEO Andrey Evdokimov said that the volume of deliveries could have been higher if not for the arrest of 150 thousand Baikal-M chips in Taiwan and the cancellation of production of 15 thousand Baikal-S due to a frozen contract.

Nevertheless, Baikal Electronics is actively expanding. The number of employees has increased from 81 in 2019 to 205, and the number of offices has increased to four. The company is working on four projects to create new chips.

Recently, a batch of thousand Baikal-S server processors was released to the market, which was completely bought out by Russian companies and government structures. Most of the chips were transferred to a large company with state participation, which distributed them for government orders. The next batch of Baikal-S will be received by the end of 2025.
