Specialists from the Moscow company "Systems of Autonomous Energy" (part of the Itelma Group) have developed a new battery with improved technical characteristics for public electric transport. This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIIPP) Anatoly Garbuzov.
Consistent actions of the city and a pool of developed support tools contribute to the sustainable development of the industry: companies are increasing the production of important products and bringing innovative solutions to the market. For example, one of the latest Moscow developments is improved batteries for urban electric transport, which are compact and powerful.
The new solution has several advantages compared to foreign counterparts. The battery capacity is 117 amp/hours, and the energy density is 73.5 kilowatt/hours. The development is characterized by a high degree of fire safety and comes in a flat case. This significantly expands the scope of the battery in various models of electric buses and trolleybuses.
