Cities are planning to create a single ticket for travel on public transport and rental electric scooters. This was announced by Ilya Zotov, Chairman of the All-Russian Association of Passengers.
The expert noted that the number of users of kicksharing services has increased 17 times over the past five years. In 2000, there were just over one and a half million of them, and now their number has reached 25 million.
According to Ilya Zotov, rental electric scooters will take passenger traffic away from public transport. We need to prepare for this situation.
For example, in Moscow, the metro ticket will include the ability to use a scooter. We will all come to this ticket in the near future, which will allow residents to use both a scooter and passenger transport, and public transport will only benefit from this, as it will allow people to be even more mobile.
Zotov also called for not banning kicksharing, but instead making the conditions of its work more transparent to protect the rights of pedestrians.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that fines for teenagers on Whoosh and MTS Urent electric scooters have skyrocketed.
