Russia sent two Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft and one Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to Iran to eliminate the consequences of a fire in the port of Shahid Rajaee. About 130 tons of water were dropped on the fires. This was reported by the press service of the rescue agency.
The Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft is capable of taking 12 tons of water into its tanks in 12 seconds at a speed of up to 190 km/h. The Il-76 can drop more than 40 tons of water on a fire at a time.
