Russia plans to launch six orbital landing automatic spacecraft to explore the Moon. This was announced by Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov.

According to him, as part of a joint project with China to create an International Lunar Station, which has already been joined by 13 foreign partners, it is planned to place a power plant on the surface of the Moon.

The head of Roscosmos called the exploration of the Moon one of the greatest challenges for humanity since Yuri Gagarin's flight. According to him, the implementation of this task requires significant personnel, financial and administrative resources. Bakanov proposed uniting the efforts of the BRICS countries to achieve this ambitious goal.
