A photograph of the preliminary layout of the ammunition load of the Russian main battle tank T-90A has appeared online. The combat vehicle's ammunition load is 43 rounds, of which 22 rounds are placed in the rotating conveyor of the automatic loader and 21 in non-mechanized racks.
The main armament of the T-90A is a 125-mm smoothbore gun-launcher 2A46M-2. A 7.62 mm PKT machine gun is paired with the gun. The machine gun's ammunition load is 2000 rounds (8 belts of 250 rounds each). Firing from the machine gun paired with the gun can be carried out from the commander's or gunner's seat.
The main anti-tank armament of the T-90 is armor-piercing discarding sabot projectiles and a guided weapon system with 3UBK14 and 3UBK20 rounds. Rate of fire - up to 8 rounds per minute.
The 1A45-T fire control system of the T-90A tank consists of a night system with a Buran-M sight, a 1G46 gunner's day sight, a PZU-7 anti-aircraft sight, a PNK-4S commander's sighting and observation system, a 1EC29 anti-aircraft gun control system, a 2E42-4 weapon stabilizer, a 1B528-1 ballistic computer with input information sensors and other devices.
