The number of problems with the first Lada Aura sedans sold turned out to be less than expected, according to AvtoVAZ head Maxim Sokolov.
According to him, requests on such issues are in the "single digits." Sokolov noted that he expected worse, since it would always be possible to understand which of the Aura owners were experiencing problems based on the number of calls.
Sokolov explained that if a complaint is received by the Presidential Administration, the information is also disseminated to other government structures, such as the State Duma and the Federation Council. He added that he expected more calls, but in reality there were significantly fewer.
The head of AvtoVAZ emphasized that calls about Auras are still coming in, but these are isolated cases, and for a completely new model that has not previously been in the plant's lineup, especially in this segment, this number of requests is a good result.
Official retail sales of the LADA Aura business sedan began at the end of November last year. According to independent statistics, in the first three months since its release on the market, about 300 cars of this model were registered, and more than 90% of them were registered to legal entities.
