Submarine killer MPK "Aleksandrovets" sold for scrap metal for 16.7 million rubles

The military ship of Project 1124 was excluded from the Black Sea Fleet in 2022

The decommissioned small anti-submarine ship "Aleksandrovets" of Project 1124, code "Albatross", was sold at auction in Sevastopol for 16.74 million rubles at auction in Sevastopol.

The military ship "Aleksandrovets" of the Soviet Project 1124 is known in NATO textbooks under the code name Grisha. For almost 40 years, it served and was excluded from the Black Sea Fleet in 2022.

The remaining part of the ship was sold as "undivided mixed scrap of non-ferrous and ferrous metals" with a total weight of more than 350 tons.

The winner was the company "Aviaavtoresurs" from the Moscow region. According to open data, the organization is engaged in metal processing, as well as the production of secondary aluminum alloys, and the disposal of aviation equipment.
